Winged Trans Symbol Magnet

I painted a few queer magnets to sell during Pride Month, and they did well! I had an inspiration pic of a transgender symbol with wings on it, and decided I wanted to do my own interpretation of it. I like how the symbol with the wings fits perfectly in an upside-down 5-pointed star. It made it hard to display on anything but a magnetic panel, but the orientation gives it character, I think. It makes it special. And I really like the texture the pointillism contributes to the painting. It looks like it'd be rough to the touch, but it's not.

This was the first magnet I ever sold on my online shop. All my others were sold either at a market or interpersonally. It's good to know my magnets are viable online. I totally understand wanting to look at paintings up close and in-person. I'm glad this one has stood out enough to be sold.

The image in this project is not a raw scan, obviously, and that's because my scanner really blew out the light colors in it and I had a hard time restoring them. Also, of course, it's not a square magnet, and I wanted to put some color around it.

Painted in 2026 with acrylic paint markers on a star-shaped 4" magnetic canvas.
