Berries & An Orange

I love this dress and I love this cat. I've wanted a pink strawberry dress since I saw the original online. I doubt they've ever been made in my size, though. It's alright; I can live vicariously through this cat! Most orange cats are male, and I'm never averse to putting a dude in a dress, but I've decided to refer to this cat with she/her pronouns. And she is gorgeous! I bet she feels so pretty! She at least stayed still enough for a photo, that's a good sign.

I'm extremely proud of myself for the way the dress came out. That took some serious finessing, and I think I nailed it. I'm also super grateful I had enough nuanced pinks in my acrylic marker set that I could make the dress look see-through. And I would like to pour one out for my mint green paint marker. It went out doing what it loved: being mint. RIP, it will be hard to replace you.

I think she's lovely. <3

Painted with acrylic paint markers on a 9x12 inch stretched canvas.

On a teal ombre background, an orange cat sits facing to the side, looking at the viewer. She's wearing a billowing pink tulle dress with red strawberry appliques on it. Big strawberries and leafy vines border the cat.
