Placed In A Pumpkin

This canvas is a thick boi. And this cat is a fluffy girl. I've named her Sekhmet and she is Not Amused about being stuck in a pumpkin for a photo. She is 100% gonna find you in your sleep and make you regret this. I support mollies' rights and mollies' wrongs.

It's not visible in this project, but I ended up having to invent quite a lot of extra...photo, on the sides of the canvas. The edges are about 1.5" thick and the reference photo is not that tall or wide. It wasn't super difficult, but I found it rather weird putting a field of autumn leaves on the underside of my painting. It came out quite well, but the logistics were strange.

I feel like this canvas has a different texture than my usual fare. Mind you, I don't often use gallery-wrapped canvases, and perhaps Michaels uses different materials for those, but painting on it felt different and the weaving looks different. Not better or worse, just different. I would definitely use this type of canvas again. I'm a fan of the thick boi sides.
